So what’s the catch?

There isn’t one hiding. This is the whole business model, in three lines.

1

Advertisers pay for attention

Brands pay to reach real people. A view only counts if the whole ad played, your tab was in view and you confirmed you were there.

2

We keep a flat 1%

That is the only thing we take. It is a constant in the code, not a setting. We do not sell your data and we do not hide a conversion rate.

3

You keep the rest, itemised

Every payout shows what the advertiser paid, the 1%, any app’s share and yours, to the micro-dollar. Then you withdraw through Stripe.

More than one way to earn

Each method comes with its own honest caveats, listed up front. See all of them.

Watch ads

Short rewarded ads, verified by our server, not by your browser. A live meter projects what you are earning and the real receipt arrives the moment the ad completes.

Pending for 45 seconds, then withdrawable

Paid tasks

Surveys, usability tests, data labelling and local jobs. The price, the time and the hourly rate are shown first, and sponsors have a few days to review.

Tips and products

Make a creator page: take tips, sell templates and guides. 1% to us, the card processor’s fee at cost, the rest yours.

Shop rewards

Buy from partner stores and receive 99% of the commission they pay us, shown before you shop.

Paid polls

One question from a sponsor, one tap, paid per response. Sponsors see totals, never who you are.

Offers and surveys

Higher payouts from partner networks. Held 60 seconds because networks verify late.

Invite friends

Earn a share of Centhead’s own fee on people you bring, businesses included. Never from their earnings.

Share compute

Desktop app only, opt-in, with an honest electricity calculator. Many computers earn less than they cost to run.

Build with the SDK

Embed rewarded ads in your app and keep the percentage you choose. One server call, one widget.

On your phone

Install the web app from your browser today. Native iOS and Android apps are planned; the API is ready for them.

One split. Written down.

Our 1% is fixed in the code. An app that embeds Centhead chooses what percentage of each payout it keeps, from 0% to 99%, and you see that choice before every ad. Whatever is left is yours, including every rounding remainder.

Seven questions to ask any app that pays you

Here are our answers. Ask the same of everyone else.

The questionWhat Centhead does
What is the fee, exactly?A flat 1% of each verified payout. A constant in the code, shown on every receipt.
Can I see what the advertiser really paid?Yes. Every payout itemises the gross, the fee, any app’s share and yours.
What happens when a payout is reversed? It shows up itemised in your wallet. Earnings are held first so it normally happens while they are still pending.
Is there a minimum, and who sets it?$1.00 to withdraw. It is on the Fees page before you sign up.
Who pays referral rewards?Centhead, out of its own 1%. Never out of members’ earnings, one level only.
Can the history be edited? No. The ledger is append-only, enforced by the database itself.
What do you do with my data?We do not sell it. You can download or delete it from Settings.

What to expect, honestly

The good

  • You see the exact amount for every view, poll and offer, with the full breakdown.
  • The fee is flat and the same for everyone.
  • Your balance cannot be silently edited.
  • A break button, daily limits and a plain risk list before every riskier feature.

The reality

  • Ads pay a fraction of a cent to a few cents. It adds up slowly. Most people earn a few dollars a month.
  • It is not passive: attention checks are required.
  • Networks can reverse payouts, which is why earnings are held first.
  • Rates and availability vary by country and over time.

Built so you can check it

Trust should not need a leap of faith. These are properties of the system, not promises.

Flat fee, in code

The 1% is a constant. No promotion, app or admin setting can change it.

Append-only ledger

Every movement of money is a balanced double-entry transaction the database refuses to edit.

Stripe for payouts

Identity checks, bank details and tax forms are handled by Stripe. We never store them.

Two-step verification

Authenticator-app codes for sign-in and withdrawals, recovery codes and session control.

Server-verified

The browser cannot create revenue. Timing and attention are checked on the server.

For developers

Add rewarded ads to your app and keep the share you choose

Mint a token on your server, mount one widget. Centhead runs the ad, verifies the view, shows your users the split and pays your share on every verified view.

// your server const res = await fetch('https://centhead.com/api/v1/embed-tokens', { method: 'POST', headers: { authorization: 'Bearer ' + SECRET, 'content-type': 'application/json' }, body: JSON.stringify({ external_user_id: user.id }), }); <!-- your page --> Centhead.mount('#earn', { getToken });

Questions, answered plainly

Is this passive income?

No, and we will not pretend it is. Advertisers pay for real, attentive people, so every ad needs this tab in view and one quick confirmation that you are present. Continuous mode lines up the next ad for you, but it never removes that check. Anything that did would be invalid traffic: the ad networks would refuse to pay for it and ban the account.

How much can I earn?

It depends on your country, the ads available and how much time you give it. An ad view typically pays a fraction of a cent to a few cents. Most people earn a few dollars a month from casual use, not a salary. We show the exact amount after every single view so you can judge for yourself.

What does Centhead keep?

A flat 1% of what the advertiser pays. It is a constant in the code, not a setting, and no app or promotion can change it. If you use Centhead inside another app, that app keeps a percentage of the payout that its owner chose (anywhere from 0% to 99%) and you see it before every ad. You receive everything that remains.

Why is there a hold on new earnings?

Ad and offer networks can reverse a payout after the fact, for example when they detect invalid traffic. Ad earnings stay pending for 45 seconds and offer or survey earnings for 60 seconds, so a reversal is settled before the money becomes withdrawable. If a payout is reversed, the matching earnings are reversed too, itemised in your wallet.

How do I get paid?

Withdrawals are sent through Stripe Connect. The first time, Stripe verifies your identity and collects your bank details and tax information. Centhead never sees or stores them. You can withdraw once your available balance reaches the minimum.

Is it safe? What about my data?

Passwords are hashed with scrypt, accounts support authenticator-app two-step verification, sessions can be reviewed and revoked, and the money ledger is append-only so history cannot be edited. We keep only the data we need, never sell it, and you can export or delete your data from Settings.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 18 or older who lives outside a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction. We ask for your country because it determines taxes, ad availability and legal requirements. We do not market to, and cannot pay, minors.
